Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibacterial [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.4) ].
Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibacterial produced by Streptomyces tenebrarius.
Tobramycin is not metabolized and is primarily excreted unchanged in the urine.

- Podhaler is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any aminoglycoside.
- Known hypersensitivity to any aminoglycoside ( 4 )
The most frequently reported adverse event in Study 1 and was more common in the TOBI Podhaler arm (48% TOBI Podhaler versus 31 % TOBI).
