How it works
From the US prescribing label for the same active substance (Fenofibrate). It describes the substance, not this exact product.
The active moiety of fenofibrate tablets is fenofibric acid.
The pharmacological effects of fenofibric acid in both animals and humans have been studied through oral administration of fenofibrate.
Racial and Ethnic Groups The influence of race on the pharmacokinetics of fenofibrate has not been studied, however fenofibrate is not metabolized by enzymes known for exhibiting inter-ethnic variability.
Fenofibric acid is primarily conjugated with glucuronic acid and then excreted in urine.
Effect of Food Exposure to fenofibric acid in plasma, as measured by C max and AUC, is not significantly different when a single 145 mg dose of fenofibrate is administered under fasting or nonfasting conditions.
