How it works
From the US prescribing label for the same active substance (Enalapril Maleate). It describes the substance, not this exact product.
Enalapril, after hydrolysis to enalaprilat, inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in human subjects and animals.
ACE is a peptidyl dipeptidase that catalyzes the conversion of angiotensin I to the vasoconstrictor substance, angiotensin II.
A high-fat meal reduced the C max of enalapril and enalaprilat by 46% and 36%, respectively.
