How to take it

These directions are for this exact strength and form. Another one is different.

  • Dosis
  • Olimel sólo debe administrarse a adultos y niños mayores de dos años.
  • Se trata de una emulsión para perfusión, es decir, para ser administrada a través de un tubo (catéter) a una vena grande de su pecho.
  • Olimel debe estar a temperatura ambiente antes de su uso.
  • Olimel es para un solo uso.
  • Dosis – Adultos

Warnings and precautions

  • Consulte a su médico o enfermero antes de que se le administre Olimel .
  • La administración demasiado rápida de soluciones de nutrición parenteral total ( NPT) puede causar lesiones o la muerte.
  • La perfusión debe detenerse inmediatamente si se desarrolla cualquier signo anormal o síntomas de una reacción alérgica (como sudoración, fiebre, escalofríos, dolor de cabeza, erupciones en la piel o dificultad para respirar). Este medicamento contiene aceite de soja y fosfolípidos de huevo . Las proteínas de la soja y del huevo pueden causar reacciones de hipersensibilidad. Se han observado reacciones alérgicas cruzadas entre las proteínas de la semilla de soja y del cacahuete.
  • Olimel contiene glucosa derivada del maíz, que puede causar reacciones de hipersensibilidad si se padece alergia al maíz o a los productos de maíz (ver sección “ Olimel N9E no debe administrarse” anterior).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico antes de que le administren este medicamento .
  • No hay experiencias adecuadas con el uso de Olimel en mujeres embarazadas o en periodo de lactancia. Olimel puede utilizarse durante el embarazo y la lactancia si es necesario. Olimel solo debe administrarse a mujeres embarazadas o en periodo de lactancia después de una cuidadosa consideración.

How to store it

  • Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
  • No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase y el embalaje exterior (MM/AAAA). La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
  • No congelar.
  • Conservar en la sobrebolsa.
