Do not take it if
- si es alérgico a quetiapina o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento , ( incluidos en la sección 6 ).
- si está tomando alguno de los siguientes medicamentos:
- Algunos medicamentos para el VIH
- Medicamentos de tipo azol (para las infecciones producidas por hongos)
- Eritromicina o claritromicina (para las infecciones)
- Nefazodona (para la depresión).
- Si tiene alguna duda, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de tomar Quetiapina Teva-ratio .

How to take it
These directions are for this exact strength and form. Another one is different.
Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico. Su médico decidirá su dosis inicial. La dosis de mantenimiento (dosis diaria) dependerá de su enfermedad y de sus necesidades pero normalmente estará entre 150 mg y 800 mg.

Warnings and precautions
- Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Quetiapina Teva-ratio , si:
- si usted, o algún familiar, tiene o ha tenido algún problema de corazón, por ejemplo, problemas en el ritmo del corazón, debilitamiento del músculo del corazón o inflamación del corazón o si está tomando cualquier medicamento que pueda afectar al latido de su corazón.
- si tiene la presión arterial baja.
- si ha tenido un accidente cerebrovascular, especialmente si tiene una edad avanzada.
- si tiene problemas de hígado.
- si alguna vez ha presentado un ataque epiléptico (convulsión).
- si padece depresión u otras afecciones que se tratan con antidepresivos. El uso de estos medicamentos junto con quetiapina puede provocar síndrome serotoninérgico, una afección potencialmente mortal (ver « Uso de Quetiapina Teva-ratio con otros medicamentos»).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico antes de utilizar este medicamento. No debe tomar Quetiapina Teva-ratio durante el embarazo, a menos que lo haya consultado a su médico. No debe utilizar Quetiapina Teva-ratio si está en período de lactancia materna.
- Los siguientes síntomas, que pueden representar un síndrome de abstinencia, pueden aparecer en niños recién nacidos de madres que han utilizado quetiapina en el último trimestre (últimos tres meses de su embarazo): temblor, rigidez muscular y/o debilidad, somnolencia, agitación, problemas respiratorios, y dificultad en la alimentación. Si su recién nacido desarrolla alguno de estos síntomas puede ser necesario que contacte con su médico.

Side effects

How to store it
- Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
- No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase y en el blíster después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
- Conservar en el embalaje original para protegerlo de la humedad.
