What it is for
- For the treatment of adults and children with diabetes mellitus who require insulin for the maintenance of normal glucose homeostasis. Liprolog is also indicated for the initial stabilisation of diabetes mellitus.

Regulation of glucose metabolism is the primary activity of insulins and insulin analogs, including insulin lispro products.
Insulins lower blood glucose by stimulating peripheral glucose uptake by skeletal muscle and fat, and by inhibiting hepatic glucose production.
