How it works

From the US prescribing label for the same active substance (PARSABIV). It describes the substance, not this exact product.

Etelcalcetide is a calcimimetic agent that allosterically modulates the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR).

Etelcalcetide binds to the CaSR and enhances activation of the receptor by extracellular calcium.

How the body breaks it down

Etelcalcetide is not metabolized by CYP450 enzymes.
