What it is for

  • Apirofeno pertenece al grupo de medicamentos llamados antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINEs).
  • Este medicamento está indicado en el tratamiento sintomático de la fiebre y del dolor de intensidad leve a moderada.

Do not take it if

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) al ibuprofeno, a otros medicamentos del grupo de los AINEs (ej. ácido acetilsalicílico, naproxeno, etc.) o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de Apirofeno. Las reacciones que indican la alergia podrían ser: erupción cutánea con picor, hinchazón de la cara, labios o lengua, secreción nasal, dificultad respiratoria o asma.
  • Si ha tenido una úlcera o hemorragia de estómago o de duodeno o ha sufrido una perforación del aparato digestivo.
  • Si vomita sangre.
  • Si presenta heces negras o diarrea con sangre.
  • Si padece una insuficiencia cardiaca grave.
  • Si se encuentra en el tercer trimestre del embarazo.
  • Si padece una enfermedad grave del hígado o los riñones.

How to take it

  • Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico. En caso de duda consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.
  • Apirofeno es una suspensión para la administración por vía oral. Puede administrarse directamente o bien diluido en agua.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar cualquier medicamento.
  • No se debe tomar Apirofeno durante el embarazo, especialmente durante el tercer trimestre (ver sección precauciones durante el embarazo y en mujeres en edad fértil).
  • Aunque solo pasan pequeñas cantidades del medicamento a la leche materna, se recomienda no tomar ibuprofeno por períodos prolongados durante la lactancia. No es necesario interrumpir la lactancia durante un tratamiento corto con la dosis recomendada para dolor y fiebre.
  • Por ello, si se queda embarazada o está en período de lactancia, consulte a su médico.

Driving and using machines

  • Si solamente toma una dosis de Apirofeno o lo toma durante un período corto, no es necesario adoptar precauciones especiales.
  • Si experimenta mareo, vértigo, alteraciones de la visión u otros síntomas mientras esté tomando este medicamento, no debe conducir ni utilizar maquinaria peligrosa.

Side effects

  • Al igual que todos los medicamentos Apirofeno puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.
  • Los efectos adversos de los medicamentos como Apirofeno son más comunes en personas mayores de 65 años.

How to store it

  • Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del del alcance de los niños.
  • No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.
  • No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica

- Los demás componentes (excipientes) son: benzoato de sodio (E-211), ácido cítrico anhidro, citrato de sodio (E-331), sacarina de sodio, cloruro de sodio, hipromelosa, goma xantana, maltitol líquido (E-965), taumatina (E-957), aroma de fresa, azorrubina (E-122), glicerol (E-422) y agua purificada.
