What it is for
- Ibuprofeno pertenece al grupo de medicamentos llamados antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE).
- Este medicamento se usa en adultos para el tratamiento sintomático a corto plazo del dolor agudo moderado y de la fiebre, cuando la administración oral es inapropiada.

Do not take it if
- Si es alérgico al ibuprofeno o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
- - Si ha padecido alguna vez algún problema respiratorio, asma, erupción cutánea, moqueo y picor nasal o hinchazón de la cara después de haber tomado ibuprofeno, ácido acetilsalicílico y otros analgésicos similares (AINE).
- - Si padece alguna enfermedad que aumente su propensión a padecer hemorragias o padece una hemorragia activa.
- - Si padece una úlcera o hemorragia de estómago activas o antecedentes de episodios recurrentes de úlcera o hemorragia de estómago (dos o más episodios).
- - Si alguna vez ha padecido una hemorragia o laceraciones en el estómago o el intestino al tomar AINE.
- - Si padece hemorragias cerebrales (hemorragia cerebrovascular) u otra hemorragia activa.
- - Si padece trastornos graves de riñón, hígado o corazón.

Warnings and precautions
- Consulte a su médico o enfermero antes de empezar a usar este medicamento.
- Los analgésicos y antinflamatorios como el ibuprofeno pueden estar relacionados con un ligero aumento del riesgo de padecer un ataque al corazón o un ictus, en especial cuando se utilizan dosis elevadas. No se debe sobrepasar la dosis recomendada ni la duración del tratamiento.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Si está embarazada o en período de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o enfermero antes de utilizar este medicamento.
- Embarazo
- No deben administrarle este medicamento durante los últimos 3 meses del embarazo, ya que podría perjudicar al feto o provocar problemas durante el parto. Puede provocar problemas renales y cardíacos a su feto. Puede afectar a su tendencia y la de su bebé a sangrar y retrasar o alargar el parto más de lo esperado .
- No debe recibir ibuprofeno durante los 6 primeros meses de embarazo a no ser que sea claramente necesario y como le indique su médico. Si necesita tratamiento durante este período o mientras trata de quedarse embarazada, deberá tomar la dosis mínima durante el menor tiempo posible.

Driving and using machines
El tratamiento breve o agudo no requiere precauciones especiales. Sin embargo, con el tratamiento prolongado pueden producirse efectos adversos como fatiga y mareo, que pueden afectar a la capacidad para conducir o usar máquinas, sobre todo, si se combina con alcohol.

How to store it
- Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
- No conservar a temperatura superior a 30ºC. No refrigerar o congelar.
- No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
