What it is for

  • Mientras el bebé está dentro del útero de la madre, no necesita utilizar los pulmones. Los fetos tienen un vaso sanguíneo denominado conducto arterioso cerca del corazón que permite que la sangre del bebé no entre en los pulmones y circule por el resto del cuerpo.

Do not take it if

  • si su bebé es alérgico (hipersensible) al ibuprofeno o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph;
  • si su bebé tiene una infección que ponga la vida en peligro que no haya sido tratada;
  • si su bebé presenta hemorragias, especialmente si la hemorragia está dentro del cráneo o en los intestinos;
  • si su bebé presenta una disminución de las células sanguíneas llamadas plaquetas (trombocitopenia) u otros problemas de coagulación de la sangre;
  • si su bebé tiene problemas renales;
  • si su bebé tiene otros problemas en el corazón que requieran que el conducto arterioso permanezca abierto para mantener una circulación adecuada de la sangre;
  • si su bebé tiene o se sospecha que tenga ciertos problemas en los intestinos (una enfermedad llamada enterocolitis necrosante).

A su bebé, únicamente le administrará Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph un profesional del sector sanitario cualificado en una unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatal especial.

Warnings and precautions

  • Antes de iniciar el tratamiento con Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph, se realizará una exploración del corazón del bebé para confirmar que el conducto arterioso está abierto.
  • Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph no deberá administrarse en las primeras 6 horas de vida
  • si se sospecha que su bebé tiene enfermedad hepática, cuyos signos y síntomas incluyen piel y ojos amarillentos.
  • Si su bebé ya padece una infección que se está tratando, el médico tratará a su bebé con Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph únicamente después de evaluar cuidadosamente el estado de su bebé.
  • El personal sanitario deberá administrar Ibuprofeno Gen.Orph con precaución a su bebé, a fin de evitar daños en la piel y los tejidos circundantes.
  • El ibuprofeno puede reducir la capacidad de coagulación de la sangre de su bebé. Por lo tanto, se deberá vigilar a su bebé por si hubiera signos de hemorragia prolongada.

Side effects

  • Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.
  • Sin embargo, es difícil distinguirlos de complicaciones frecuentes que se producen en bebés prematuros y complicaciones debidas a la enfermedad.

How to store it

  • Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
  • No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la etiqueta y la caja después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
  • No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.
