What it is for
- Ibuprofeno Vir pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos llamados antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE).

Do not take it if
- Si es alérgico a ibuprofeno, o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
- Si padece una úlcera de estómago o duodeno.
- Si ha tenido una úlcera o hemorragia de estómago o de duodeno o ha sufrido una perforación del aparato digestivo.
- Si padece una insuficiencia cardiaca grave.
- Si padece una enfermedad grave del hígado o los riñones.
- Si vomita sangre.
- Si presenta heces negras o una diarrea con sangre.
- Si padece trastornos hemorrágicos o de la coagulación sanguínea, o está tomando anticoagulantes (medicamentos utilizados para “fluidificar” la sangre). Si es necesario utilizar a la vez medicamentos anticoagulantes, el médico realizará unas pruebas para la coagulación sanguínea.
- Si padece colitis ulcerosa o enfermedad de Crohn.

How to take it

Se debe utilizar la dosis eficaz más baja durante el menor tiempo necesario para aliviar los síntomas. Si tiene una infección, consulte sin demora a un médico si los síntomas (como fiebre y dolor) persisten o empeoran (ver sección 2).

Warnings and precautions
- Con el ibuprofeno se han notificado signos de reacción alérgica a este medicamento, como problemas respiratorios, hinchazón de la cara y de la región del cuello (angioedema), y dolor torácico. Deje de utilizar inmediatamente ibuprofeno y póngase en contacto inmediatamente con su médico o con el servicio de urgencias médicas si observa alguno de estos signos.
- Se han notificado reacciones cutáneas graves, como dermatitis exfoliativa, eritema multiforme, síndrome de Stevens-Johnson, necrólisis epidérmica tóxica, reacción a fármacos con eosinofilia y síntomas sistémicos (síndrome DRESS), pustulosis exantemática generalizada aguda (PEGA), en asociación con el tratamiento con ibuprofeno. Interrumpa el tratamiento con este medicamento y busque atención médica inmediatamente si nota alguno de los síntomas relacionados con estas reacciones cutáneas graves descritas en la sección 4.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Driving and using machines
- Si experimenta mareo, vértigo, alteraciones de la visión u otros síntomas mientras esté tomando este medicamento, no debe conducir ni utilizar maquinaria peligrosa.
- Si solamente toma una dosis de ibuprofeno , o lo toma durante un período corto, no es necesario que adopte precauciones especiales.

Side effects
- Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.
- Los efectos adversos de los medicamentos como ibuprofeno son más comunes en personas mayores de 65 años.

How to store it
- Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
- No conservar a temperatura superior a 30ºC.
- Conservar el blíster en el embalaje exterior para protegerlo de la luz.
