What it is for
- Ibuprofeno pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos denominados antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINEs). Estos medicamentos proporcionan alivio modificando la respuesta del organismo al dolor y la fiebre.

Do not take it if
- si es alérgico al ibuprofeno, al ponceau 4R (E124), al cacahuete o a la soja, o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6)
- si alguna vez ha sufrido dificultad para respirar, asma, secreción nasal, hinchazón de la cara y/o manos o urticaria después de usar ibuprofeno, ácido acetilsalicílico u otros analgésicos similares (AINEs)
- si tiene (o ha tenido dos o más episodios distintos de) úlcera de estómago o duodeno (úlcera péptica) o hemorragia
- si tiene antecedentes de hemorragia o perforación gastrointestinal al tomar previamente AINEs (antiinflamatorios no esteroideos)
- si padece insuficiencia hepática, renal o cardíaca grave
- si padece alteraciones no aclaradas de la formación de la sangre
- si está en los tres últimos meses de embarazo (ver sección 'Embarazo, lactancia y fertilidad')

How to take it

Warnings and precautions
- Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de tomar este medicamento si:
- tiene una infección; consulte el apartado "Infecciones" a continuación.
- tiene ciertas enfermedades de la piel (lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES)) o enfermedad mixta del tejido conectivo (afecciones del sistema inmunitario que causan dolor en las articulaciones, erupciones en la piel y fiebre).
- tiene cierto trastorno hereditario de la formación de sangre (por ejemplo, porfiria aguda intermitente) o problemas con la coagulación de la sangre.
- tiene o alguna vez ha tenido una enfermedad intestinal (colitis ulcerosa o enfermedad de Crohn).
- tiene función renal reducida.
- tiene trastornos hepáticos. En la administración prolongada de este medicamento se requiere un control regular de los valores hepáticos, de la función renal, así como del hemograma.
- se ha sometido recientemente a una cirugía mayor.

How to store it
- Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
- No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja y blíster después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
