How it works

Lidocaine stabilizes the neuronal membrane by inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby effecting local anesthetic action.

How the body breaks it down

Lidocaine is metabolized rapidly by the liver, and metabolites and unchanged drug are excreted by the kidneys.

How to take it

These directions are for this exact strength and form. Another one is different.

  • Adults and children over 2 years:
  • clean and dry affected area free of lotions, ointments and creams. carefully remove backing from patch starting at a corner.
  • Apply sticky side of patch to affected area.
  • Do not use more than one patch in a 12 hour period.
  • Maximum 2 patches per day.
  • Discar patch after single use. children 2 years or younger: ask a physician.

Stop and get help if

condition worsens skin irritation develops symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days
