How it works
From the US prescribing label for the same active substance (Terbinafine). It describes the substance, not this exact product.
Terbinafine is an allylamine antifungal [see Clinical Pharmacology ( 12.4 ) ].
Prior to excretion, terbinafine is extensively metabolized by at least seven CYP isoenzymes with major contributions from CYP2C9, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, CYP2C8, and CYP2C19.
Approximately 70% of the administered dose is eliminated in the urine.
An increase in the AUC of terbinafine of less than 20% is observed when terbinafine tablets are administered with food.
