Do not take it if
- Si es alérgico a la quetiapina o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6)
- Si está tomando cualquiera de los siguientes medicamentos:
- ciertos medicamentos para el tratamiento del VIH.
- agentes antifúngicos de tipo azol (para las infecciones producidas por hongos).
- eritromicina o claritromicina (para las infecciones).
- nefazodona (para la depresión).
- Si no está seguro, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de tomar Quentiax.

How to take it
These directions are for this exact strength and form. Another one is different.
Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico. Su médico decidirá su dosis inicial. La dosis de mantenimiento (dosis diaria) dependerá de su enfermedad y de sus necesidades pero normalmente estará entre 150 mg y 800 mg.

Warnings and precautions
- Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Quentiax si:
- Usted, o algún familiar, tiene o ha tenido algún problema de corazón, por ejemplo, problemas en el ritmo del corazón, debilitamiento del músculo del corazón o inflamación del corazón o si usted está tomando cualquier medicamento que pueda afectar al latido de su corazón.
- Tiene la tensión arterial baja.
- Ha tenido un accidente cerebrovascular, especialmente si es una persona de edad avanzada.
- Tiene problemas de hígado.
- Alguna vez ha presentado un ataque epiléptico (convulsión).
- Padece diabetes o tiene riesgo de padecer diabetes. Si es así, su médico podría controlar sus niveles de azúcar en sangre mientras esté tomando Quentiax.
- Usted sabe que ha tenido en el pasado niveles bajos de glóbulos blancos (los cuales pueden o no haber sido causados por otros medicamentos).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.
- No debe tomar Quentiax durante el embarazo, a menos que lo haya consultado a su médico.
- No debe utilizar Quentiax si está en período de lactancia materna.
- Los siguientes síntomas que pueden representar un síndrome de abstinencia, pueden ocurrir en los niños recién nacidos, de madres que han utilizado quetiapina en el último trimestre (últimos tres meses del embarazo): temblor, rigidez muscular y / o debilidad, somnolencia, agitación, problemas de respiración y dificultad para alimentación. Si su bebé presenta cualquiera de estos síntomas es posible que necesite ponerse en contacto con su médico.

Other medicines
- Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o pudiera tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.
- No tome Quentiax si está tomando alguno de los siguientes medicamentos:
- Algunos medicamentos para el VIH.
- Medicamentos de tipo azol (para las infecciones fúngicas).

Driving and using machines
Quentiax puede producir síntomas tales como somnolencia, mareo o alteraciones en la vista, y disminuir la capacidad de reacción. Estos efectos así como la propia enfermedad pueden dificultar su capacidad para conducir vehículos o manejar máquinas. Por lo tanto no conduzca, ni maneje máquinas, ni practique otras actividades que requieran especial atención, hasta que su médico valore su respuesta a este medicamento.

Side effects
- Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.
- Muy frecuentes: pueden afectar a más de 1 de cada 10 personas
- Mareo (podría dar lugar a caídas), dolor de cabeza, sequedad de boca.

How to store it
- Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
- No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad indicada en el cartonaje, contenedor y blíster después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
