How it works

Lidocaine stabilizes the neuronal membrane by inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby effecting local anesthetic action.

How the body breaks it down

Lidocaine is metabolized rapidly by the liver, and metabolites and unchanged drug are excreted by the kidneys.

How to take it

  • Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Older:
  • -Clean and dry the affected area -Apply gel pads directly to the skin for up to 12 hours -One application of 4 pads per-day is recommended -Wash hands immediately after use
