How it works

Omeprazole belongs to a class of antisecretory compounds, the substituted benzimidazoles, that suppress gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
Because this enzyme system is regarded as the acid (proton) pump within the gastric mucosa, omeprazole has been characterized as a gastric acid-pump inhibitor, in that it blocks the final step of acid production.
Omeprazole is extensively metabolized by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzyme system.
Following single dose oral administration of a buffered solution of omeprazole, little if any unchanged drug was excreted in urine.

Warnings and precautions
- Говорете с Вашия лекар или фармацевт, преди да приемете Омепразол Сандоз.
- Тежки кожни нежелани реакции, включващи синдром на Стивънс- Джонсън (575), токсична епидермална некролиза (ТЕН), лекарствена реакция с еозинофилия и системни симптоми (DRESS) и остра, генерализирана екзантематозна пустулоза (AGEP), са докладвани във връзка с лечение с Омепразол Сандоз. Спрете употребата на Омепразол Сандоз и незабавно потърсете медицинска помощ, ако забележите някой от тези симптоми, отнасящи се към тези тежки кожни реакции, описани в точка 4. check

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Ако сте бременна или кърмите, смятате, че може да сте бременна или планирате бременност, посъветвайте се с Вашия лекар или фармацевт преди употребата на това лекарство.
- Омепразол се отделя в кърмата, но е малко вероятно да повлияе на кърмачето при употреба в терапевтични дози. Вашият лекар ще реши, дали може да приемате Омепразол Сандоз, докато кърмите.
- Шофиране n работа с машини Малко вероятно е Омепразол Сандоз да повлияе способността за шофиране или работата с инструменти и машини. Могат да възникнат нежелани лекарствени реакции, като замаяност и нарушение на зрението (вж. точка 4). Ако това се случи, не трябва да шофирате или работите с машини. check
