How it works

Pantoprazole is a PPI that suppresses the final step in gastric acid production by covalently binding to the (H +, K + )-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
This effect leads to inhibition of both basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion, irrespective of the stimulus.
Pantoprazole is extensively metabolized in the liver through the cytochrome P450 (CYP) system.
After a single oral or intravenous dose of 14 C-labeled pantoprazole to healthy, normal metabolizer subjects, approximately 71% of the dose was excreted in the urine, with 18% excreted in the feces through biliary excretion.
Administration of pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets with food may delay its absorption up to 2 hours or longer; however, the C max and the extent of pantoprazole absorption (AUC) are not altered.

Warnings and precautions
- Говорете с Вашия лекар, фармацевт или медицинска сестра, преди да приемете Контролок 20 те.
- Ако имате тежки чернодробни проблеми: Моля кажете на Вашия лекар, ако някога сте имали проблеми с черния дроб. Той ше проверява Вашите чернодробни ензими по-често, особено ако приемате Контролок 20 те продължително време. В случай на повишаване на чернодробните ензими, лечението трябва да бъде спряно.
- Ако се налага да приемате продължително НСПВС и получавате Контролок 20 mg, защото имате повишен риск от развитие на стомашни или чревни усложнения. Повишеният риск се асоциира с Вашите лични рискови фактори, като Вашата възраст (над 65 години), проявени в миналото стомашни или дуоденални язви или стомашни или чревни кръвоизливи.
